Photo taken of the eclipse.
I went on the top of the hill to take this picture. This is the first picture that I have taken with a tripod and found it very useful (although my tripod still shakes a bit). I also used manual focus and an ios of 800 because the photo will be underexposed otherwise. I liked the red tone created by the cloudy white balance and I think it had an interesting comparison with the moon.

These are pictures of Pacific Center in down town, where many tourists love to take a picture of. The first picture is a typical snapshots that tourists would take. The second photo is taken from the inside of Pacific Center. The hanging posters and the buildings give the picture depth and perspective, which made it look very interesting. The blue shade of the picture also fits the tone of the image well. The third image is taken from a small building that links the Pacific Center's parking area. I built on the idea of using the glass roof from the second picture and took a picture of the Pacific Center from another glass celling beside the main building. The contrast of the circular celling and the circular shape of the Pacific Center made the picture quite interesting.
Through these examples, the asymmetric photo created way more impact than the symmetric photo. For the asymmetric photo, I not only placed the object asymmetrically, but also used a half bird eye's view. Although the photo looks simple, everything in the photo is carefully crafted to create a harmonic image. The shadow also provides an interesting contrast with the object, filling the bottom of the picture. Just by a using a different angle and placement of the object, the effect is enormous.

I created two styles of the photographer with the two pictures: the first one is more imaginative shown with a vibrant color, while the second one is more melancholy shown with a more monotone color. My main subjects are a log and roots. The log symbolizes a child that matured and leaved the family, and the roots symbolize the parents of the child. When the child gained independence, he is hopeful in leaving the family and seeing the colorful world by himself. His parents however, lost the color of their world because of the separation, and can only feel a sense of lost. Photo theme: the DominatorTaking bad photos intentionally is actually very hard to accomplish, may be it is because I am more than a level 1 player?
My theme I choose make it harder for me to take bad snapshots, but I have tried hard to include the most amount of disturbing parts I can find into the picture. It was very interesting that after I switched my phone, the colour of the sun turned out to be different, and the ray of the sunshine was very beautiful. I hope that I can start taking better photos soon! Some highlights and cool photos of the summer:Picture 1 & 2: Cosplay photoshoots in August in China. The first two times that I have taken pictures in studios. The first photo's lighting was great, but the second photo originally had terrible lighting, so I had to edit the photo for a long time.
Picture 3: A selfie of my friend and I dressed up in Lolita fashion clothing when picking up the anime convention tickets. Picture 4 & 5: Pictures taken at the anime convention. Because of weather the first photo had some flaws when looked closely, which affected the overall look. The second photo was taken in a nice and bright day, which made the picture look nicer. Picture 6: Snapshot at my friend's birthday party, where we all decided to genderbend. It was very funny to see boys dressed up as girls. |
