Photo theme: autumn
The first thing I think of autumn when I took these pictures is having a warm color scheme to make viewers feel calm and relaxed. These photos shows a transition from early autumn to late autumn. The first photo is a slow shutter-speed shot with zoom-in. It creates a crisp and interesting feeling to the picture and points out the point of focus, which is the center leaf. I have setted the scene to be a loop of orange flowers surrounding one leaf, showing also a contrast in colors. This photo symbolizes the fast pace that autumn comes and its power in dying green into orange. The second photo is a photo of a pumpkin pie with an owl behind it. This photo shows a symmetric perspective and also a contrast between sharp and blur. The owl in the picture wants to get the pumpkin pie, but it still need to work to get the reward. This photo shows that autumn is not getting close to the end of work, but people still need to work hard to have a wonderful finish. The third photo is a portrait of a scarecrow in front of a tree. It is lifting its right arm to touch the leaves of the tree. This photo is the warmest of all, and shows a feeling of calmness and happiness. This photo symbolizes the joy of harvesting and enjoying this period of relaxation. The forth photo is another picture of a scarecrow. Unlike the pictures before, this picture has a dark and melancholy feeling to it. This picture shows the end of autumn, when no more new goods can be produced until next spring. This photo tells viewers to cherish autumn, or it will fly away before anyone even notice.

Louise, I especially like the photograph of the pumpkin pie with the character in the faded background. It takes it from being a typical photo of food and adds an element of narrative to it. Nice work.
